Charleston & Chestnut
Charleston and Chestnut came to GPRO on August 1st, 2026, from a hoarding situation where they were living in a small cage with six other guinea pigs. We believe they were likely the fathers of the breeding operation. Both boys arrived with significant fight wounds to their ears. Charleston is missing portions of both ears, but don’t let his appearance fool you, he is definitely the dominant one!
Because of the trauma and food scarcity they experienced, Charleston and Chestnut do not do well sharing a cage. We’ve tried housing them together, but they fought too much to safely live as roommates. They are much happier in a side-by-side setup where they can see, hear, and interact with each other without the risk of injury. Both boys are currently being treated for mites and will be looking for their forever home once they’re ready.
