Surrender Process
Sometimes life changes, and you may find that you are no longer able to care for your guinea pig. If this happens, we’re here to support you and your pig through the process, ensuring they are safe, loved, and well cared for.
There is a $100 surrender fee per guinea pig, which helps cover the cost of care and supplies.
Important Information for Surrendering to GPRO
-
We take pets in by appointment only, as our resources are limited.
-
All guinea pigs must be brought in a carrier.
-
We require your pet’s complete health history.
-
Once surrendered, your guinea pig becomes the property of GPRO; surrendering is permanent.
-
If you plan to donate small animal items, please check our Ways to Give page or contact us first, as we cannot accept all items.
